Feeding Recommendation
This is a protein mineral supplement and not a feed. Sufficient grazing and/or roughage must be available at all times.
Contains buffers for the prevention of acidosis and ammonium chloride against bladder and kidney stones. Feed Sheep Winter/Crop Residue Lick on an ad lib basis during the winter months (March – September).
Intakes should be about 100 – 150 g/sheep/day in order to supply 25 – 37,5 g protein and 1,1 – 1,65 g phosphorus.
Other information of importance
Keep lick troughs filled and prevent gluttonous eating by hungry animals. A constant dialy intake can help prevent NPN poisoning. Before feeding a NPN containing lick, feed an ordinary salt / phosphate lick for at least 5 – 7 days.
